Your annual membership costs R1399 per annum. This includes Affiliation to Handicaps Network Africa (HNA), South African Golf Association (SAGA) and Southern Cape Golf Union (SCGU). You are also a member of the Uniondale Golf Club (UCG). ​ You will also receive a Unique HNA membership ID and Password. This together with the HNA Handicap Card (once off R300 for first year) , will allow you to register your golf rounds and have an official handicap.

The current handicapping system is based on your last 20 scores. The calculation takes the best 8 of your last 20 scores. The Handicap index is then calculated (HI). This is used to work out your course index (CI) either by looking it up on the SAGA app or a handicap sheet displayed at the club you are playing at. It is critical that you know how to correct your scores for handicap purposes. A maximum of a net double bogey must be recorded

The SCGU affiliation allows you to play golf at SCGU affiliated rates. ​ The Southern Cape Golf Union represents 25 affiliated clubs, 26 golf courses and approximately 7200 registered male and female golfers. The clubs are situated in the picturesque Garden Route and southern parts of the Karoo.

GolfRSA is the unified body of the South African Golf Association (SAGA) and Womens Golf South Africa (WGSA), administering, operating and providing service to amateur golf in South Africa. ​ SAGA affiliation allows our members to play all affiliated courses at SAGA affiliated rates. ​ GolfRSA’s role is to look after the interests of more than 460 golf clubs and 139 000 men, women, boy and girl club members, produce champion golfers and provide the opportunity for everyone in South Africa to experience the game of golf. Some of GolfRSA’s responsibilities are: Working across the full spectrum of golf development in South Africa Providing support services to member clubs and maintaining a uniform system of handicapping, administering and applying the rules Providing championships and competitions for all ages and abilities at some of the most prestigious courses in the country Identifying and developing the country’s most talented amateur golfers, with the very top players joining our elite National Squads for specialised training and playing opportunities

UCG is located in the town of Uniondale in the Southern Cape. The UGC membership allow golfers across South Africa to affordably enjoy golf. Your membership gives you reduced rates at the UGC and massive savings across all the SCGU and SAGA clubs.

Anyone can join The Uniondale Golf Club Membership

As a member of UGC you qualify for affiliated rates at all golf courses that offer affiliated rates. UGC is SAGA and SCGU affilated. Please go to to our 'UGC Discount' bar under the 'Courses' drop down menu to see how much you save.

No monthly fees! A once off fee is paid annually which is currently R1499 per calender year from date of joining.

For new members, who have not been handicapped before, HNA requires your last three scores to generate your initial handicap. Once the scores are captured, the HNA system calculates your Handicap overnight. It is not immediate. Only the last three scores will be used to generate you initial handicap. Thereafter your handicap will adjust as you submit scores.

If you require a card, it will take six to twelve weeks to arrive, however you do not need a card to start entering scores. All you need is the HNA app and your HNA player ID which you will receive shortly after signing up. You can open your round on the HNA app. At the end of your round you enter your score on the app. You can also access your electronic HNA card by logging into the app and simply turning your device screen to landscape.
